Lovely compilation! At @26:13 we are talking about the creation of the New World and the start of the Long Count in 3114 BC, which ended on December Solstice, 2012, a 5,125 year cycle that is exactly 1/5 of the Precession of the Equinoxes, and exactly 144,000 days long, or 7,200 cycles of the 260-day Tzolk' een calendar.

I wonder if the firefly holding the cigar in the codex style vessels with Chak, jaguar baby, and death are referencing back or at least alluding to the popol vuh?

Very stupid at the end, becoming like the gossiping between neighboards, I hate shit likes this!

Moe-nay? Mon, in French, is pronounce d as we pronounce MON Ami or BON Jour

Beautiful introduction.
Buddha has a Hindu background and the dot in the forehead could also represent the 3rd eye.
Wonderful presentation! Thank you!
Thank you Mr. Lee for this wonderful tour of the Kimbell. I am "retired" architect in NYC and an independent scholar of Kahn's works. In 2018 I published a book on the Salk Institute. I have only visited the Kimbell once many decades ago. I will be forwarding this video to architect friends of mine. Thank you again.
Nice 👍
Guatemala heart of the Mayan world 🇬🇹
No te engañes, todo lo realmente importante estuvo y sigue estando en México.
Guatemala es un invento geografico Nahua. El estado nacion de Guatemala no tiene nada que ver con los Mayas antiguos.
I jussssst likssss soooo silllyyyy you long tongue sailor boyyyyyy. Sorry I cant lisssssssten to this.
very nice to know all the thoughts behind a building
Fantastic, fantastic lecture.
Thank you for the tour, I would love to visit there once.
If there is one thing I remember from this insightful lecture, it shall be this: Kahn brought back the room as the fundamental unit of architectural expression, not flowing space without shape or boundaries (Mies), but a fixed and definite poetic enclosure.
